Councilwoman alarmed about alleged quota
system

For some "strange" reason, the Essex
News is not accepting comments on this story, so I have posted my
comments here on this page to read BEFORE you read the story.
Sorry, but I just couldn't resist.
Of course Councilwoman Holman
is alarmed. It's an election year. The only time we hear from our
council persons is just before an election; until then they hide
in the shadows and keep out of sight except on pay day. It's to
Ms. Holman's credit that she did vote "No" to
confirming Chief Robinson in 2011, but before that, after that,
not a word.
"Politics as usual"
is about to change. We voters have a new best friend in the
Internet and we know how to search for every mention of Alicia
Holman. From now on, we will be holding our council people and
Mayor to every campaign promise, every vote on every issue, and a
whole lot more. This Web site is just the beginning for
independence for East Orange voters and accountability for their
public servants.
