Communists in Washington, DC
on Saturday 10/2/10

Remember when we were (as a nation) concerned about
communists in Washington, DC. Well, it's happening again on
Saturday, 10/02/10 and it doesn't seem to bother anyone but me.
Because I remember.
The photo on the left up there, by the way, is not a photo of
communists in Washington. It's a photo of the Glenn Beck rally
from 08/28/10, and the people in that particular crowd
are peace-loving decent citizens who support our Constitution.
The whole purpose of the forthcoming rally on 10/02/10 is because
that Rally to Restore Honor was such a success that the
communists, the unions, the socialists, and every organization
that supports the far left feels the need to draw a bigger crowd
by force, bribes and coersion than Glenn Beck's rally did by
choice and the free will of the participants. See the photo on
the right to see how well they did.
In The East Orange Record, and I assume the Orange
Transcript, of 9/30/10, there is an innocuous little article on
page 3 with the headline: Washington rally will attract
local leaders, residents and the by line : By Chris
Sykes. The article wasn't considered important enough to
put on-line in the East Orange Record and Orange Transcript's Web
sites, but a larger expanded version of the article appeared on
the Irvington Herald under the headline "N.A.A.C.P.
heads to D.C. March." You can read it HERE.
The article is very revealing, both for the information it
contains, but more so for the information that it conspicuously
leaves out.
The article mentions who will be attending this rally from our
local community: Community leaders and union members will
be among the residents it says. Two of them are named:
Kathleen Witcher, president of the Irvington Unit of the NAACP,
and Elvin Padilla, president of FMBA Local 10, which represents
the city's (Oranges) firefighters. Oh, and also going are
At least 20 members of the Orange Fire Department.
This may seem like a nice Autumn week-end picnic jaunt until we
investigate a little bit more. Who is paying for it? Oh,
thats there in the article in the words of Elvin Padilla:
We got a bus for Orange from the AFL-CIO that we're going
to fill with 45 people. We have about 20 people going from the
Fire Department alone. One question no one seems to be
asking: Are those firefighters going on their own time, or will
Orange taxpayers be footing the bill while their firefighters are
in DC?
Who will they be meeting up with in Washington, DC? Thats
where the article begins to get a little more vague and begins to
leave out more information than it includes. Among the
organizations which have been involved with planning and support
are the NAACP, AFL-CIO, National Council of La Raza and the
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. I guess theres
nothing wrong with that bunch, but the event is named after its
sponsor: One Nation Working Together and they happen
to have a Web site with a list of endorsing communist and
socialist sponsors that let us know who really is behind this
rally.
Really? Which nation is that? China? Cuba? Laos? North Vietnam?
North Korea? Whose flag is that? Not ours!
I urge you to do your own homework and see the list for
yourselves. If you don't know who the endorsing partners are,
click on their names and go to their Web sites and find out.
These are the people that your local firefighters and other local
residents traveling on that bus will be meeting and linking arms
with... I doubt they will be singing songs of peace and harmony.
(Note: 10/07/10 - Just as quickly as
word got out about the list of communist and socialist supporters
on the "One Nation" Web site, they cleaned it up faster
than they cleaned up YOUR nation's capitol. But don't worry. You
just have to look them up BACKWARDS. While the "One
Nation" Web site deleted the names of many of the socialist
leaning endorsing sponsors, the communists and socialists weren't
told to delete all mention of themselves at the rally, so if you
just go to their individual Web sites by clicking on the links
below, you can see them proudly showing what "One
Nation" is now too embarrassed to show.)
I just wonder if the 45 local residents who are traveling on
that AFL-CIO sponsored bus know with whom they will be mingling
at this "picnic" in DC. Bring your cameras. Take
pictures. This is going to be an event you will want to show your
children and grand children when you later attempt to explain
your involvement.
As for Chris Sykes and the East Orange Record/ Orange Transcript,
I only ask: Was there a reason for leaving out these
distinguished historic American communist and socialist
organizations when you listed the organizations which have
been involved with planning and support of this rally? Did
you really think no one would find out who else was involved with
that planning and support?
